Has Shoemoney lost the plot?
Shoemoney is a daily read for most bloggers – the dude has more than 10,000 RSS subscribers – but when was the last time you got some decent money-making advice from Shoemoney himself? Every day I log on to his blog and it’s nothing but off-topic ramblings, guest posts and boring snippets. The amount of useful content there has diminished rapidly.
Let’s look at what the most recent posts on Shoemoney have offered us:
- Shoemoney’s life goals
- Calling out DMoz
- Shoemoney’s trip to San Jose
- A Firefox extension
- DMoz extortion
- UFC post
- Another UFC post
- More posts about San Jose
- Guest post
- Guest post somebody copied from a book
And so on!
There hasn’t been anything useful written by Shoemoney for weeks. The most interesting thing recently were the pictures of the lunatic from the Digital Point forums who has tattoos of the DP logo and Shoemoney’s logo. You only have to take one look at the dude to know that something isn’t quite right there.
So what are people reading Shoemoney for? I mean, reading about the guy’s life is cool and all, but he doesn’t seem to do much these days except have his picture taken with people and give seminars.
I’ll admit, some of his guest posts are quite informative, but the last time Shoemoney wrote something related to making money that was worth reading was… well, I’m not sure. Has Shoemoney ever used his blog to write money-making tips?
I still read Shoemoney sometimes but I’m unsure why. His posts are short and all fairly pointless. If he wasn’t a millionaire there would be absolutely no reason to read his blog. It’s not his writing abilities, his storytelling skills or his immense wit that wins people over.
So come on, what is about Shoemoney that has everybody so enthralled?

Digg it for goodness sake! Stumble your heart out!

I ask myself that all the time. My blog has never changed. People assume its always about making money online when infact that is probably less then 10% of the postings.
I don’t know, I don’t read it. Never tried, so it’s not because I didn’t like it. But it sounds like you are reading it, because you’re snob
You almost say so yourself
That’s probably also the reason why a lot of other people read him. Like everybody says they read ProBlogger. I get the feeds, but I seldom read the posts, because they’re too long. I prefer John Chow. His posts are short and funny.
I guess you must have lost ideas of what to write about seeing as your having a go at shoemoney, how about you try and post about how to make money online everyday…it is not easy and even John Chow doesn’t post about making money online everyday!!
