How much is your blog worth?

Desi wrote a post this week about how much his blog had improved. There is a button available at Business Opportunities that uses Technorati stats to evaluate how much a blog is worth. In less than eight months Desi’s blog’s value has risen from $2258.16 to $142,828.62. That’s a hefty increase for such a short time period.

I entered my blog in and do you know how much it is worth? $1,129.08. I’ve got a long way to go before I can call myself a pro blogger, but I plan to be making money online within one year so I will use this as a reference point, as Desi did, to show my readers how far I can go. The value of a blog, according to this method, does not translate into real money, but it does give an indication of a blog’s status.

www.johnchow.com is worth $2,918,107.26. That pesky John Chow is always a step ahead of everyone else. He’s making more money online than most people, but part of the way he is making money online is by telling us how to make money online. I see no reason why I can’t do what he says and push my blog’s value up into the hundreds of thousands.

Pro Blogger is worth even more than John Chow’s blog - $4,536,643.44 to be exact. Wow! I want a piece of that action.

Other blogs of note include www.cashquests.com, valued at $79,600.14, www.pureblogging.com, valued at $158,635.74 and the mad cow (John Chow’s nemesis), valued at $76,777.44.

If they can do it, then so can I. I am going to make money online, I am going to make money from blogging, and I am going to do it by doing what the real pro bloggers tell me to do. If I don’t, then what else are they for, other than gloating about their Adsense payouts?

Let’s do this.
