I lost my Adsense check!

Somehow, between taking it to a bank that was too small to cash a check and realizing that I couldn’t remember where I’d put it, my latest Adsense check has gone missing. I spent an hour looking for it in my room but to no avail.

Luckily, Google has a system place for idiots like me who lose their Adsense checks. According to Google Help Center:

When can I request a reissue of my cheque?

Standard delivery: The 25th of the month following month of issue. For example, if your check was issued on January 27th, you can request a reissue after February 25th. Secured Express Delivery: The 5th of the month following month of issue. However, we recommend that you first use the tracking number located on your Payment History page to determine the status of your payment.

While it is annoying that I will have to wait a bit longer to get my hands on Google’s money again, at least I know that money is not lost for good – yet.

  1. EFT is the way to go . But maybe they don’t offer it where you are.

  2. Why are you not on EFT? every month, in the bank on time with no problems, no waiting to see if the post actually arrives…
and no 5 day (in Ireland) waiting for cheque to clear.
EFT is the def the way to go…

  3. Wow. I wonder how you lost it and where. What if someone finds it? I guess they take care of that then eh? I hope you get the new one soon. :)

  4. Excuse me, but that’s dumb!

  5. You never lost anything before?

  6. Why not switching to ETF?

  7. It took 30 days to clear Adsense cheque in my country. Now Google is offering EFT but I have no idea how to use it. Perhaps you can accumulate your earning and ask Google to send all the payment in 1 shot via EFT…

  8. Too bad: Adsense proposes Electronic Transfer Fund (ETF) only in a restricted list of countries!

And Thailand is not in that list. I understand now why the webmaster is using cheques.

    :(

  9. I forgot, here the list of countries where ETF is allowed by Adsense:
