Monday-night link building
At this stage in my blog’s life I don’t think that building up link exchanges is a bad idea. Some people swear against link exchanges, but when you are trying to establish your blog they do more good than harm.
Once you get yourself a decent page rank, then you can be selective about how you approach link exchanges. For this post, I’ve decided to take advantage of all of the link exchange/review offers made by higher-ranking blogs I could find. I will follow the rules laid out by the bloggers, but my reviews will have to go below a “more” tag so as not to clutter the blog up with an unusually lengthy post. Because I’m sick today I have decided to only review the sites that required the least amount of effort to get a link back.
If any other up ’n’ coming bloggers would like to exchange links with me then drop me a comment here and I’d be happy to oblige.
So anyway, here is my Monday-night link quest.
Carl Ocab has an interesting name and is 14 years old. He also makes money online. On his blog you can read about how to sell advertisements on your blog, how to make an affiliate site, and somebody even did a video review of his blog. When I was 14 years old I was only interested in Sega; hats off to the little guy then.
Jason at the Ja Kel Daily dot com personal blog will hook you up with a link just for reviewing his blog. Nice guy.
If you want to make money at home, Jon Waraas, another blogger with an interesting name, can help you out. He has a useful blog that I read regularly.
This Tech Blog I came across taught me about Text Link Ads inlinks service that allows publishers to buy links inside your blog posts. I either never saw this or else I’m just not eligible for it yet, despite being allowed to sign up to TLA with my low PR blog. So thanks for pointing that out for me. There was also a post up there about using the Google Analytics map overlay to show potential advertisers where people reading your blog come from. That’s something I’d never thought of before. So that’s two things that I found and learned in a matter of minutes from visiting this blog. I subscribed to the RSS feed and will be back to see what else he has to say. That blog seems to be doing something right so I think it is worth a read. The Wordpress theme is the same as John Chow’s too, so it’s easy to navigate.
I just stumbled across Dax Desai’s website but will make a point to return there in the future. The guy has over 1,400 RSS subscribers and he is an entrepreneur worth reading now and then. You can get a free review of your blog if you review Dax’s blog by going here. Everyone’s a winner.
One Day at a Time is offering free reviews just for linking to her blog. That’s really cool; and she’s really pretty.
One blog I came across that welcomed negative feedback was selaplana.com. Although the blog is a great read, it’s one of those blogs that I find hard to manage because of the cluttered theme and layout. There seems to be too much going on in too many places for me to really feel comfortable as a reader. Nonetheless, if you want to join the blog’s Review Me Challenge and Win, you’ll get a link back and a short review of your blog.
That’s enough blog reviews for one day. All these blogs are blogs I’ve come across recently and I recommend you check them all out. I will review another batch in the near future.
