It seems that one of the most effective ways of building up the readership of a blog is to offer contests. I think John Chow has a competition to win a copy of The Four-Hour Workweek every day. So this is me, offering my first contest to the few readers I have acquired at the moment. And what’s the prize? Well, I’m going to start out small. I’m offering invites to Joost TV.

What is Joost TV? you may be wondering. Well, it’s the future of television programming. It’s a way of watching TV on the internet that is way ahead of any other software or torrent service. With Joost TV you can pick and choose from a variety of television channels and watch them at your leisure… instantly.

Being online, there are, of course, a range of Internet-ready features, such as chat, forums and searching. Joost TV is particularly useful for people who don’t want to pay over-the-top cable prices. You don’t even need a TV as everything is right there on your computer, from MTV to a channel dedicated to Transformers.

Joost TV is made by the same people behind Kazaa and Skype, so you know it is going to be a success. Once you’ve tried using it you’ll be able to see the potential that Joost TV has.
